Two condominium units at Bukit OUG gutted in fire

KUALA LUMPUR (April 22): Two units on the 12th floor of a block of condominiums at Jalan 4/155, Bukit OUG, here were gutted in a fire tonight.

Senior Fire and Rescue Operations commander Mohamad Hafidz Yaacob when contacted by Bernama said the department received an emergency call at 9.14pm and immediately despatched fire engines from the Jalan Hang Tuah, Sri Petaling and Seputeh fire stations with 45 personnel involved in the operation.

He said when the firemen arrived at the scene about 60% to 90% of the two units had been gutted.

“The operation to douse the fire was carried out using attacking and offensive fire fighting techniques.

“The fire was brought under control at about 10pm and completely extinguished at 10.30pm,” he said, adding that no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident, while the cause of the fire was still being investigated.
